MSMEDA injects 76.5 bln pounds in 4,000 projects in Matrouh

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has  injected 76.5 million Egyptian pounds ($4million) in 4,000 SMEs within Marsa Matrouh governorate, MSMEDA Director Nevine Gamea said.

Around  44 million Egyptian pounds were directed to infrastructure, labor-intensive and development projects, creating 6,000 job opportunities, Gamea added.

Gamea made the announcement while visiting Marsa Matrouh, where she met 250 young investors to discuss facilitating business procedures in the governorate, and discuss ways of expanding the financing of the small and medium enterprises.

The Social Fund for Development (SFD)  has been merged with the MSMEDA to become one entity, working to upgrade and develop the SMEs sector by offering financial and non-financial services.

During her visit Gamea has  handed over completion of the training course certificates ” ebdaa Mashrooak” ( start your project) to 24 young  man and woman graduated from the faculty of agriculture. the training course is among the national program to develop skills of 10,000 project founders in partnership with International Labour Organization (ILO).
