Mohamed Abdel Salam, the chairman of Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR), has won second term which would be till 2014. Abdel Salam has won total of 1.750 million of votes cast, compared to 52 thousand for Ashraf Mahmoud El-Dab’.
This comes after Amwal Al Ghad has published that Mohamed Abdel Salam is closer to the chairman position than his only rival Ashraf Mahmoud El-Dab’.
Additionally, Khaled Serry Siam – former chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Nidal Al-Kassem Asser, assistant sub-governor of reserve management unit at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and Tarek Abdel Bary, managing director of MCDR, have won the seats of the experienced members of the MCDR board of directors.
Awni Abdel Aziz Youssef Ali – Chairman of the Division of Securities at the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Mohamed Fathalla Mohamed El-Sayed, and Mohamed Maher Mohamed Ali – managing director of Prime Holding, have won securities brokerage firms representatives seats in MCDR board of directors.
Awni has obtained total of 4969.209 thousand of votes cast. Mohamed Maher had 425.247 of votes cast; while Mohamed Fathalla had 280.431 thousand of votes cast.
Furthermore, the candidates who won securities Trustees representative seats in MCDR are Amr Yousef Hassan El-Ganainy and Sherif Abdel Khalek Mohamed Heshmat.
