Rania El-Bakry, Digital and Direct Communication Manager at Mobinil, emphasized that the Egyptian consumer has started to have an influence on the company’s priorities, forcing it to resort to social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter as a means for marketing the company’s services via the internet according to the current needs of the consumer.
She added that Mobinil has established partnership with with You Tube to launch Ramadan’s advertising campaign on the internet, allowing users to write comments on the ads.
On his part, Mohamed Megahed, Director of Connect Ads, noted that 35% of Facebook users in Egypt use mobile phones to access the website, noting that the total number of users has reached about 11 million users.
