The number of those who reserved in the project of “Beet Al Watan”, which presented last March to the Egyptian expatriates, reached 2200 ones; out of 6745 plots represent the first phase of the project.
Dr Mohamed Fathy El-Baradei, Minister of Housing, said the outcome of selling these plots is in the Central Bank, because the Egyptians transfer on a specified account in the Central Bank. He referred the ministry is approaching the finish of the presented lands in El Meniya El Gedida, New Cairo and Al Sheikh Zayed.
El-Baradei denies accusing the ministry of increasing the prices of the presented lands, as this was main reason made expatriates draw back. He said “even the current economic states, but it is not a reason to sell lands with low prices”. The minister elaborated that these lands’ prices increase than the prices of the presented ones in the same zone with 15%; referring that the ministry will not adjust the prices.
