Medical Union Pharmaceuticals – MUP (MEDU.CA) reported net profits of EGP 70.999 million during the first half of 2012, recording a decrease of 14.7% as it had posted net profits of EGP 83.277 million a year earlier.
MUP sales during H1/2012 hiked to EGP 472.899 million, compared to EGP 393.498 million during H1/2011. The gross profits, after excluding the cost of sales, rose to EGP 92.888 million through H1/2012, compared to EGP 85.786 million during H1/2011.
MUP operation profits, after excluding total expenses and adding other revenues, dropped to EGP 94.181 million during H1/2012, compared to EGP 104.219 million during H1/201.
Moreover, the basic earnings per share for the H1/2012 reached EGP 1.96, compared to EGP 2.30 in H1/2011.
