Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was named on the 30-player shortlist for the 2019 Ballon d’Or award, announced on Monday, for the second consecutive time.
The Ballon d’Or is one of the respected individual awards in the world of football and is offered by the French weekly magazine France Football every year.
Salah finished sixth place in last year’s edition of the Ballon d’Or following his dazzling performance with Liverpool and the Pharaohs.
Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder Luca Modric won last year’s edition, while Juventus and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo, and the World Champion with France and Barcelona winger Antoine Greizmann, came in second and third, respectively.
