Leading jewelry manufacturer L’Azurde has registered sales in Egypt’s market worth EGP 2 billion (US$262 million) in 2014, CEO Selim Chidiac announced Sunday. The company’s sales in Egypt amounted to 10.000 tonnes in 2014.
Chidiac told Amwal Al Ghad that L’Azurde is one of the most prominent trademarks in gold and diamond manufacturing industry for the Middle East and North Africa region, and it ranks fourth globally.
In addition, Chidiac said L’Azurde seizes around 20% of market share in Egypt. Therefore, L’Azurde 2015 strategy includes pumping investments at value of EGP 60 million (US$7.8 million) to increase current share to reach 25%in Egyptian jewelry market.
This step would be through upgrading L’Azurde machines and equipments as well as providing training programs for its workers, Chidiac concluded.
