Jet Airways India -the country’s top private-sector carrier- has announced that it will provide a direct connection between Dammam in Saudi Arabia and Delhi four times a week from March 17, 2012.

This will be the carrier’s third connection between Dammam and India, as it already provides service to the Saudi city from Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

The new service from Dehli will operate four days a week – Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays – and provide onward connections from and to Kathmandu and Dhaka as well as to some leading destinations on the domestic network through the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Sudheer Raghavan -Jet Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer- said “The airline has already established itself as a prominent brand in the highly competitive Indo-Gulf sector on account of the warmth and quality of its inflight product. We are confident that the new service will equally prove popular with our guests. The service will also provide convenient connections from and to Delhi to neighboring countries like Kathmandu and Dhaka and also to important stations in India.”, as AMEinfo stated.

The Jet Airways flight 9W 567 will depart Dammam at 2355 hrs (local time) and arrive Delhi at 0615 hrs (LT next day). On the return leg, 9W 568 will depart Delhi at 2035 hrs (LT) and arrive Dammam at 2255 hrs (LT).

The service will complement the airline’s existing Gulf operations to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharjah as well as Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
