IMF mission seen in July as Egypt starts $5 bln loan talks: minister

A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to visit Egypt next June to resume talks over a new loan, a Minister from Egypt’s economic group of ministers told Reuters on Monday.

Egypt’s central bank has started negotiations with the IMF over a $5 billion loan,

The negotiations, which started last week, are headed by the central bank, the minister said without giving any details on what kind of loan Egypt is seeking.
