Egypt has to put realistic action plans to increase growth, and address unemployment problem to face the weak growth rates, unemployment and the budget deficit said the chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Egypt, Christopher Jarvis.
He added that the IMF is ready to work with the Egyptian government in any way it sees beneficial and that he looks forward to resume the Economic assessment consultations, which was suspended in 2010, in accordance to article IV.
Jarvis said that if the government requested a program from the IMF, they will be ready for that and that they don’t mind providing any technical support requested by Cairo in the areas of financial reform or policy making.
