Hurghada beaches reopened on Sunday after a shark attacked a Russian tourist, according to the Red Sea Governorate in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, all beaches have reopened except those close to the site of the incident.
The statement also stressed on how visitors on beaches should only use the designated areas that are considered safe for swimming, snorkelling, or diving.
The shark attack occurred on Thursday, when 24-year-old Popov V.W. lost his life, leading authorities to close all beaches from Gouna to the north of Hurghada.
