HSBC Bank Oman SAOG hosted a celebration to thank the previous board for all their hard work in laying the groundwork for the merger of two successful banking organizations to become one larger financial institution.
Amongst the distinguished guests were Hamood bin Sangour al Zadjali, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman, Abdullah bin Salem al Salmi, Executive President of the Capital Market Authority, Jamie Bowden, British Ambassador to Oman and Yahya al Jabri, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm.
The new board, chaired by Simon Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Middle East Ltd comprises of seven Directors each serving an initial three-year term. Brigadier Waleed bin Omar al Zawawi has been appointed as Deputy Chairman, Oman Daily Observer reported.
