In his sudden visit to Badr city yesterday, Dr.Tareq Wafiq, Minister of Housing and Urban Development affirmed that the Ministry aims at prepare new cities all over the Republic to receive more citizens during the coming period. He added that this will be achieved by providing these cities with services and launching businesses, so that the number of people working there can exceed the number of residents.
The Minister called upon investors in these new cities to support the government’s efforts in solving the problems of such areas, promising to provide real estate companies with building licenses as soon as possible, allowing them to finalize national housing projects for the youth and low-income groups. He added that license approvals will be declared immediately unless there are legal problems preventing that.
On his part, Alaa Alskotai, chairman of Badr City Investors Association, emphasized that the Minister has announced during his visit that he will consider the investors’ requests regarding allocating a plot with usufruct for establishing a social club for the city’s residents, launching a service center for businessmen , including a permanent exhibition for the city’s products that are not earmarked for sale, in addition supporting investors to establish internal transport companies , in order to facilitate the movement of people inside the city.
