Egypt’s Hassan Allam will start delivering the utilisation works on the first phase of the new capital city within June 2017, Managing Director for Financial Affairs Atef Barbary said Thursday.
The total cost of the works will reach 700 million Egyptian pounds (38.6 million), Barbary told Amwal Al Ghad.
The Egyptian official further added that the company’s works in the first phase of the new capital city project include drinking water and sewage water lines, alongside a number of housing units.
“We have a 20 percent share in the first phase works among other five mega construction firms,” Barbary noted.
Moreover, Barbary stated that Hassan Allam is tasked with implementing more works in the ministerial district at the country’s new capital city.
These works include a new giant administrative building, at cost totalling more than 1.3 billion pounds, he concluded.
