Govt Pays 0.5% of Its Dues To Technology Companies

Eng. Mokbel Fayyad, CEO, Prosylab Co., and a member of government dues committee in the Ministry of communications and Information Technology, said the committee paid almost EGP 5million from its debs; which reached EGP 86 million, with a rate doesn’t exceed 0.5% of the debt.

The governmental authorities stopped the joint procedures with both ministries of finance, communications and Information Technology; to pay the dues of average and small companies work in the sector. The companies await the new government formation before demanding its dues.

He pointed out that the government’s due debts of projects implemented in cooperation with the debtors since a year and half before breaking out the revolution; underscoring  the current period is witnessing halt in paying the dues and the joint new projects with the government.

The committee, formed by the ministry of communication, is trying to stress on the ministry of communication to agree with the governmental authorities; this is for accepting to back the average and small companies’ dues, in return for the ministries and other authorities that haven’t gotten their due so far.

Dr Kamal Al Ganzouri government approved paying EGP 100 million for the communications and information technology companies, jointly with finance ministry last February.

Dr Mohamed Salem, minister of communications and information technology, said the prime minister has decided before to back the dues of the finished projects from the companies of communications and information technology of the governmental authorities

He referred that theses sums will be axed from the ministries’ allocations in the state’s budget.
