Government Allocates Land For Public Entities For Development Plans

The government will allocate huge land areas to various public entities to establish buildings offering services to citizens, as a part of implementing development plans, according to Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb.

The decisions will see the implementation of the development plans and offer the needed services for citizens, Mehleb said. These decisions will affect several governorates, including North and South Sinai, Beheira, and Sohag.

Concerning South Sinai, Mehleb agreed to dedicate state-land of 415.2sqm to the Social Affairs Directorate. The latter is looking to establish a geriatric-care unit in the Elnadi district of Tur Sinai, according to a statement by the cabinet on Monday.

State-land covering 12,690sqm, also in Tur Sinai, will be offered to the directorate responsible for South Sinai’s security to establish headquarters for civil protection.

Another area covering 941 acres will be provided to the Youth and Sport Directorate for free, to establish a club and a racetrack for camels in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Mehleb dedicated 10 pieces of the state  land totalling 2,260sqm to Sharm El-Sheikh Council, to establish a service zone next to the Children’s Library in Ras Sidr.

A further 500sqm of state land was allocated to the General Authority for Educational Buildings, to establish a one-class school in Ras Sidr.

The government will also allocate a piece of land covering 500sqm, for the General Authority for Educational Buildings, to launch a one-classroom school in Ras Sidr. Another 1,000sqm was also freely allocated to Directorate of Veterinary to launch a veterinary unit in Abou Redis.

Mehleb agreed to allocate a piece of land in Giza and another in Abu El-Matamir, for the Directorate of Education to build primary schools.

In Beheira, Mehleb agreed on allocating 1,200sqm of land to launch Al-Azhar Institute.

He also agreed to allocate land, for free, in South Sinai toward the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage.
