Germany’s Knauf opens €45 million Plant in Egypt next Tuesday

Germany-based Knauf will inaugurate its newest plant in Egypt next Tuesday, May 19th, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) announced in a statement today.

According to AHK’s statement on Sunday, Knauf’s Egyptian plant will be with investments worth €45 million (US$51 million).

The inauguration will be in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour and Germany’s ambassador to Cairo Hansjörg Haber.

Knauf is an international, family-owned company based in Iphofen, Germany well known for drywall gypsum boards, originally founded in 1932. Knauf is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of modern insulation materials, drylining systems, plasters and accessories, thermal insulation composite systems, paints, floor screed, floor systems, and construction equipment and tools.
