The Free Egyptians party joined in challenge no. 32070\ 60; as it challenge the legitimacy of the constituent assembly formation decision. This challenge was submitted by Dr Ehab Al Tamawi. In today’s statement, the party said that the challenge is legal and not like the previous challenges; which reached 60 ones.
The party said that it joined the challenge to protect the principles of the modern civil state which has law and its people have all the rights and obey all the regulations. On this base, the party examined all the challenges filed against the constituent assembly formation; this is to stop the parliamentary majority’s attempt to dominate the assembly.
The challenge referred to the declaration of the constituent assembly formation decision lacks the pillars of the three administrative decisions, moreover, its illegitimacy, violating the law’s general principles and its deflection in using the authorized powers according to Article 60 of the constitutional declaration on March 30.
The challenge elaborated that the authority granted to parliament according to Article 60 of the constitutional declaration is “exceptional”, and not of the parliamentary work; so the elections should be under the administrative court.
