A factory fire, which injured two dozen people, in a village in Egypt’s north was extinguished after burning for more than seven hours on Saturday.
The site of the flames is now being cooled to prevent reignition, the security director of Gharbia governorate, Abdel Hamid al-Azim told state news agency MENA.
He added the 24 who were injured in the fire include 10 firefighters.
Earlier today, Mohamed Sharshar, a top health official in Gharbia governorate said injuries range between suffocation, bruises, abrasions, cuts and first degree burns.
The fire erupted in a vinegar factory in a village near Gharbia governorate’s Tanta city. Civil protection units sent 25 firetrucks to the scene to put out the flames.
