Facebook’s Stock-market Valuation tops $230 billion on Friday

Facebook Inc.’s stock rallied to an all-time high on Friday, propelling the social network’s market valuation into the top 10 among all S&P 500 companies.

The stock FB, +1.27% climbed 7.4% on the week, its biggest weekly gain in eight months. That boosted Facebook’s market capitalization by $16.1 billion to $231.6 billion, according to FactSet, passing blue-chip bank J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. JPM, +0.90% , at $228.2 billion, in the process. Next up: General Electric & Co. GE, +0.28% GE, +0.28% , at $255 billion.
