Egypt’s main agricultural lender PBDAC has sent an official request to all employees not to post any information or statements related to the bank on social media platforms or newspapers.
El-Sayed El-Kosayer, Chairman of Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit (PBDAC) showed his refusal of Facebook and similar social media websites and asked all employees not to post news of the bank on such platforms. Notably, El-Kosayer was recently appointed by the Cabinet to take over the presidency of the PBDAC.
El-Kosayer said: ‘when any of the bank employees inform social media websites and newspapers about any unfortunate incidence occurs, such acts give a very bad image of the bank. Those individuals constitute a major threat to the bank’s good reputation and these acts could badly affect our performance and communication with our clients’.
El-Kosayer called for all the bank’s employees to put the bank’s interest first and foremost, put an end to such irresponsible acts and take suitable legal actions against them.
