European stocks declined on Monday as investors were on the edge ahead of the announcement of Britain’s new prime minister coinciding the country’s crisis for living cost and recession.

The pan-European Stoxx600 slipped at 1.61 percent in early deals and the benchmark FTSE 100 decreased by 0.83 percent. Amsterdam Index – AEX falls by 1.79 percent, while Russia index declined by 0.38 percent.

Germany’s Dax lost about 4 percent, while France CAC40 shrunk at 2.26 percent. Italy stock Index – FTSE MIB witnessed a downfall by 2.44 percent.  Nasdaq Copenhagen index – OMXC25CAP dropped at 1.40 percent.

Both the major UK indexes declined more than 1 percent last week on fears around surging prices.
