Etisalat “Shapes Your World WithTomorrow’s Technology” at Gitex 2012

Etisalat today revealed details of its participation in the ‘GITEX Technology Week’, held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 14-18 October 2012. Themed under ‘Shape Your World with Tomorrow’s Technology’, Etisalat’s participation emphasizes on the correlation of human interaction with futuristic technology. As the largest exhibitor of the event, Etisalat’s thematic stand explores the infinite possibilities in which technology can make a difference in people’s lives.

As ‘Gold Sponsors’ of Cloud Confex, and Event Partner of ITU Telecom World 2012, an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) event to be held in Dubai for the first time, Etisalat in geared to bring the event alive with its upcoming participation atGulfComms exhibition, located at the Zabeel Hall (stand ZA10) and Conferences.

Etisalat’s presence at the event will be marked with demonstrations of new technologies, new business partnerships and strategic ICT solutions that will drive technology advances in the region.

The Corporation will be utilising this platform for building new partnerships and enhancing existing ones with key corporations, organisations and entities.

Etisalat’s interactive stand features simulated digital home experience through Etisalat’seLife services, based on the advanced FTTH (Fiber-to-the-home) platform. Etisalat will demonstrate its eLife TV 2.0 services that open up endless possibilities for home entertainment, through high speed broadband.

The mobile broadband zone showcases the capabilities of next generation mobile networks with a special focus on the Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. Customers can enjoy a first-hand experience of the 4G super speeds of 150MBps as part of the zone that also features Etisalat’s mobile Internet and smart phone plans as well as BlackBerry plans and devices.

The Near Field Communications (NFC) and Flous zone displays the futuristic technology that can enable efficient, secure and convenient transactions. Using a mobile phone with Etisalat SIM card, it is foreseen as a strong enabler to meet new customer needs and drive innovative business models via a fast and simple mode of transaction that can be completed instantly through intuitive interface.
