A senior source from Etisalat Egypt has asserted that the firm has fully cooperated with the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) in order to provide all the data the latter has required.
This comes after what was published on Tuesday about the the referral of Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (Mobinil) – (EMOB.CA) and Etisalat Misr to Egypt’s Public Prosecution on charges of not cooperating in providing the data required by the ECA.
Moreover, the source added in a statement released on Tuesday that Etisalat Egypt was surprised by the complain which has submitted to the country’s Public Prosecution for not cooperating with ECA. The firm has provided all the required data and is continuing its cooperation with ECA. the source explained that the last meeting between Etisalat Egypt and the ECA was on February 24th.
The source has illustrated that Etisalat has not received any summons noting that in case of being under investigation, the firm will submit all the necessary documents to prove its fully cooperation with the EPA.
