El Sewedy Electric (SWDY.CA), the leading Wire & Cable and Integrated Energy Solution Provider in the Middle East and Africa, announced that the strike staged last Sunday by workers at 49%-owned SIAG Towers in Ain Sokhna was ended following discussions. This was after the Labor Office was summoned for a meeting on Sunday, January 13, to look into workers’ demands for profit share and salary raise.
El Sewedy indicated that SIAG Towers, which was founded in 2010, has not generated earnings thus far. It added that the company decided to shut its plant for 4 days till the issue is resolved.
