The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) has selected for the second time in a row Tarek Abdel Monem from Egyptian Information Telecommunications, Electronics and Software Alliance (EITESAL) to be a WITSA board member.
This took part during a meeting held in Brazil to elect a new board for WITSA 2016-2018 term.
Founded in 1978, the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) is a leading consortium of ICT industry association members from over 80 countries and economies around the world. WITSA’s members represent more than 90 percent of the world ICT market.
Hazem El Tahawy, EITESAL chairman, expressed his contentment for electing Abdel Monem as a WITSA board member for a new term.
He said: “EITESAL is honored to be given this chance to lead the Middle East and North Africa within this Organisation for a new two-year term.”
Commenting on his re-election, Abdel Monem said: “In the next two years, EITESAL will save no effort to broaden opportunities and privileges granted by the WITSA to its members as well as increasing communication with similar organisations in the Arab world and North Africa creating better opportunities for joint marketing between those countries”
