Egypt’s tycoon Mohamed El-Swedy – President of the Egyptian Federation of Industries and Chairman of the Zaki El-Sewdy Group- is a possible candidate for the country’s upcoming parliament elections scheduled for next March.

El-Swedy told Amwal Al Ghad on Thursday that he had not decided yet whether to run for the next parliament elections or not.

“I won’t hesitate to take the nomination decision if people asked for it.” El Sewdy said, affirming that serving any executive or legislative position in the country is a great honor for any person devoted to Egypt.

The 40s year-old billionaire is the son of Zaki El-Swedy, NDP’s former candidate for Shura Council for several rounds for Sharqiya, Darb Negm.

In 2013,   Mohamed El-Sweidy was named as the President of the Egyptian Federation of Industries, to succeed Galal Al-Zorba, in post since 2004.
