A decade has come and gone leaving non the wiser. Reuters combed through thousands of pictures from this past decade and came up with most powerful photos in which Egypt’s Tahrir square is featured.

Tahrir square is the heart of protests that toppled Mubarak in a show of people power unprecedented in Egypt’s modern history, where 25th January revolution has taken place.

In Egypt, the central Cairene landmark of Tahrir Square repeatedly was a staging ground for mass protests.
