Egypt’s stocks finish lower on Wednesday, benchmark EGX 30 tumbles 1.85%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) stocks

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index tumbling 1.85 percent to 10,115 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) sank 4.64 percent to 1,833 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped edged down 2.11 percent to 12,480 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 dived 4.23 percent to 2,733 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 decreased 4.20 percent to 1,911 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has on Wednesday incurred losses worth 14 billion Egyptian pounds ($892.3 million), ending the trading at 630.466 billion pounds boosted by local investors’ selloff.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 507.405 million securities executed 34,554 transactions.
