Egypt’s stocks end lower on Monday as benchmark EGX 30 falls 0.29%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has ended lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.29 percent to 11,064 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dove by 5.13 percent to 2,774 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped declined by 0.30 percent to 13,377 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 sank by 4.09 percent to 3,755 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 tumbled by 3.61 percent to 2,363 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Monday incurred losses worth 9.972 billion Egyptian pounds ($635.1 million), ending the trading at 718.669 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 5.3 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 491.698 million securities executed 57,465 transactions.
