Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed mixed on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index going up 0.65 percent lower to 11,068 points buoyed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell 1.31 percent to 2,037 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped grew 0.36 percent to 13,229 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 edged 0.89 percent lower to 2,984 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 lost 0.24 percent up to 2,196 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 787 million Egyptian pounds ($50.3 million) to close at 632.514 billion pounds on Wednesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Wednesday, the trading value has approximately reached 2.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 831.5 million securities executed 57,082 transactions.
