Egypt’s Shares Gain EGP 2.2 bln at Close

 Egypt’s stocks maintained their upward trend posting gains totaled EGP 2.2 billion on Sunday. The benchmark index closed at EGP 373.907 billion.

The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Sunday.

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 inched up by 1.02% to close at 5586pts; while the EGX20 rose by 1.17% to end at 6536p. 
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.89 % to conclude at 480p. The price index EGX100 advanced by 0.86 % to finish at 803p.

Traded Volumes & Trades

Through the closing session of Sunday, the trading volume has reached 408.288 securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 158 million, exchanged through 27 thousand transactions.   

Also during the closing session, 171 listed securities have been traded in; 24 declined, 120 advanced; while 27 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activity
Egyptians and Arabs backed EGX’s gains as they remained net buyers seizing 90.13%, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 4.7 billion, excluding the deals.

Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing EGP 4 million and EGP 160 million excluding the deals.
