Egypt and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has sent a message of support to his teammate Loris Karius following another disappointing performance in the Reds’ 3-1 defeat against Dortmund in the US tour.
“Stay strong Karius, it has happened to the best of players. Ignore those who hate,” Salah said in a tweet on Monday.
The German keeper has been under fierce criticism since his mistakes in the Champions League final that saw Real Madrid claim their 13th title following a 3-1 win in May.
The 25-year old was also guilty of a similar blunder against Tranmere earlier this month.
Now his future seems in doubt at Anfield following the arrival of Brazilian keeper Alisson Becker from Roma for a record fee of £65 million.
