Egypt’s QIZ Exports Surged by $535 mln Q3- End 2013

The  Egyptian QIZ exports of the ready-made clothes to USA reached around $535 million at the end of the third quarter of 2013, up 5% from the same period exports in 2012, which were $ 510 million.

Senior sources in the Egyptian Foreign Trade sector have informed Amwal Al Ghad that this increase was not expected as the Egyptian exports declined in general within this period.

The exports registered about EGP 6.2 billion in the recent period against EGP 6.8 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2012.

Mohamed Kassem, Chairman of Egyptian Ready-Made Garments Export Council, has affirmed that QIZ protocol is the fundamental way in developing Egypt’s exports for USA.
