Egypt’s Premier to sign power, transport, infrastructure agreements with France

Egyptian Premier Sherif Ismail heads to Al Etihadia Presidential Palace Monday to meet French President François Hollande and his accompanying mission.

Ismail is set to witness signing a number of agreements with the French side in power, transport, and infrastructure fields.

The PM is scheduled to hold meetings with French businessmen to showcase prominent investment opportunities and inviting them to participate in some of the projects that the government executing, sources at the Egyptian Cabinet stated.

Hollande started a two-day visit to Cairo on Sunday, his second in less than a year. The French president last visited Egypt in August 2015 when he attended the inauguration of the New Suez Canal.

The visit aims at boosting economic ties between the two countries, with both presidents signing agreements in a number of fields and projects, including electricity, generating renewable energy, the Cairo metro and sewage system projects.
