Egypt’s newly appointed Prime Minister Eng. Ibrahim Mehleb issued a decree on Tuesday to restructure the Social Fund for Development’s Board of Directors. The SFD’s board will be presided over by the country’s prime minister and composed of the members of; ministers of Planning, International Cooperation, Trade, Industry and Investment, Local and Administrative Development, and Finance.
The board is also set to include the Egyptian minister of social solidarity, who will be tasked to run SFD’s affairs, alongside Gamal Negm, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Ahmed Fekry Abdul Wahab, Member of the Egyptian Industries Federation, Hatem Khater, Chairman of the National Federation of NGOs, and Aly El Faramawy, Vice President of Microsoft Corporation.
Another ministerial decree has been issued to appoint
Hanaa El Hilaly as the SFD’s acting Secretary General, succeeding Ghada Waly – who was recently named as the minister of social solidarity in Mehleb’s Cabinet.
