Representatives of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC)’s Securities Division are planning today to meet with the country’s new bourse chief and deputy alongside the new board members.

The Securities Division said it will be meeting with the Egyptian Exchange’s new Chairman Mr. Atef Yassin El-Sherif alongside Vice Chairman Mr. Ashraf Kamal and the newly-elected board members on Sunday to discuss a number of pressing issues in the country’s stock market.

The Division stated that the meeting – which will be attended by EG-Finance – shall tackle EGX’s current situation, overall performance and key challenges.

In the light of the new program presented by the EGX’s new Board of Directors, fresh plans and methods of upgrading the money market sector shall also be reviewed.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt has named early Thursday Mr. Atef Yassin El-Sherif as the new EGX Chairman, in place of Dr. Mohamed Omran whose term shall expire next June 30th.  Mr. Ashraf Kamal has been also selected to succeed Judge Khaled El-Nashar as EGX’s Vice Chairman.
