Egyp’s Moharram and Partners Office for Public Policy and Strategic Communication appointed its former Director of Media Relations at Hill and Knowlton Strategies for Public Relations Mohamed Mohsem as a new Vice President for Strategic Communication, Public Relations, and Media Affairs.
Moharram was established in 2015 as the first Egyptian expert house specialised in public policy and strategic communication. It works to support the private sector and government institutions in the areas of analyzing legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks for different industries and setting institutional communication strategies, as well as providing risk management studies.
“We are proud to include a rare competence like Mohsen to lead the strategic communication and public relations team,” the company’s Managing Partner Moustafa Moharram said, adding that they are proud to be the first expert house specialized in the field of public policies and strategic communication working from Egypt.
“We work to support the Egyptian state to create an environment conducive to local and foreign investment… we seek to bring together the most important experiences in our fields of work to provide scientific and methodological consulting services to investors and the state comparable to those in Europe and the United States.”
Mohsen held the position of Director of Media Relations at Hill and Knowlton Strategies for Public Relations for about six years, during which he managed the media affairs file for a number of major international companies such as Google, Twitter, LG, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Intel; and participated in organising major international conferences, including the Sharm El-Sheikh Economic Conference which was held in March 2015.
Mohsen also worked as the director of communication for the Center for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency ITIDA for a period of four years, since its foundation in October 2010 until December 2014.
Mohsen began his career 16 years ago as an economic journalist for Al-Alam Al-Youm newspaper before joining the Foreign Affairs Department of Al-Ahram Al-Arabi magazine, to later serve as deputy head of the Foreign Affairs Department of Al-Ahram Daily.
