The Egyptian Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MCIT) has decided to postpone Cairo ICT 2013 exhibtion, an International Conference Center (CICC) to the next September instead of April 21st.
An official source in the MCIT said the Ministry and Trade Fairs company, which organized Cairo ICT Conference, have decided to postpone the exhibition as it coincides with the parliamentary elections date, pointing out that Egypt’s Constitutional Court decision for halting the elections will be discussed on Thursday in Shura Council (the Upper House) in order to look into the matter.
The source added to Amwal Al Ghad that postponing the exhibition to the fourth quarter of the year will not contradict with any phases of parliamentary elections in case of application.
Moreover, MCIT has held a meeting with Trade Fairs company resulted in reaching the delay decision to the next September 2013.
Eng. Hossam Saleh Hossam Saleh, Vice CEO of Trade Fairs International, the organizer of Cairo ICT, has affirmed in previous statements that the parliamentary elections which are scheduled to hold by next April will not affect the exhibition’s date in the timing of elections.
