Egypt’s home appliances maker Universal for Engineering Industries plans to set up presence in 12 new markets within 2017, an official in the company’s said Sunday.
Head of Universal’s factories further added that the expansion would include European countries in addition to Brazil and Australia, aiming to maximise the company’s benefit from the flotation of the Egyptian pound.
“We export 40 percent of our home appliances production and 30 percent of heaters,” he noted.
Universal is number one trade mark in Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Morocco, he stated.
“We also enjoy a good position in Russia, Australia, and other African markets,” the official referred.
