Egypt’s external debt dipped at the end of the first quarter (1Q) of the current financial year 2021/2022 to $137.4 billion from the $137.8 billion at the end of the 2020/2021 year, according to a central bank recent data.
The second half of the 2020/2021 year – through January to June 2021 – witnessed a considerable rise in Egypt’s external debt compared to the first half. The external debt inched up to $137.8 billion from the $129.1 billion in the first half.
