Egypt To Issue 10 Tenders For Gold Explorers In January

Fikri Youssef, Chairman of the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA), said on Monday the authority will be issuing international tenders next January to explore for gold in various regions in Egypt.

 Youssef noted that EMRA plans to introduce the tenders through the coming international mining conferences which will be held in London, Canada, and South Africa as it seeks to allure multiple foreign firms to invest in the Egyptian market.

EMRA Chairman further stated that within the coming period, multiple foreign firms will turn out for those tenders inspired by Sukari Gold Mine’s considerable expertise in extracting gold in Egypt.

EMRA will offer spaces of 1000 km2 to award more firms gold extraction franchise, he added.
