Egypt’s Arab Contractors mulls road, bridge projects in 6 African countries

Egypt’s state-owned construction firm Arab Contractors studies carrying out number of road and bridge flagships in six African countries within the current period, said its chairman Mohsen Salah on Monday.

Salah further stated that his company also seeks to expand its business volume in some African countries, by executing a bunch of infrastructure projects there.

Arab Contractors competes to implement flagships that are being financed by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) through international financial institutions and foreign grants, he added.

In addition, the Egyptian official referred that Arab Contractors hopes to establish a bunch of bridge, dam, and road projects in Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, and Morocco, respectively as well as other road works in Nigeria and Cameroon.

Salah said that Arab Contractors signed a cooperation protocol with one of the German banks during the last period in order to finance the essential projects, which are being launched in Africa.
