Egypt state-run Arab Contractors Company has finished the Chadian central bank’s new premises on an area of 8.000 m2 with total cost of €21 million ($23.7 million), its Chairman Mohsen Salah said Wednesday.
The project is part of AC’s plan to boost its businesses in Chad in accordance with the country’s development schemes for the rehabilitation of infrastructure projects within the current period.
Salah stated that the completion of the central bank’s premises in Chad was assigned directly to Arab Contractors in cooperation with the Egyptian government. Thus, AC has built the services buildings affiliated to the main premises.
Moreover, The project is financed by The African Central Bank (ACB) which is s one of the three financial institutions of the African Union. The creation of the ACB, due to be completed by 2028, a roll out pilot project beginning May, 2015 to be supervised by the monetary and insurance group ASTAG – African Star Treaty Alliance Group
