Egypt’s actor Ahmed Bedair was honoured at the 7th edition of the Italo-Marocchino International Festival in the Italian city of Portofino on 20 April.
In the presence of the festival president Abdallah Khazragy, the evening ceremony was held in Piazza Borsa square.
The celebration featured several musical performances including by Murad El-Boureqy and Hamid El-Sarghini, with an audience of around 2,000 people.
Born in 1947, Bedair is a seasoned cinema and television actor whose career began in the mid-1970s.
Some of his best known roles include the films Batal min Waraq (A Paper Hero), Sokoot Hansawar (Silence…We’re Rolling), Hob Fawq El-Sahab (Love on the Clouds), and the play Raya and Sakina.
His latest appearance was in the film Hepta: The Last Lecture in 2016.
