Egypt’s Arab Contractors Company (AC) said it has signed a contract to develop the Al-Nuwaiseeb road project in Kuwait, with cost of around 170 million Kuwaiti dinars ($558.3 million).
The Egyptian construction firm is set to implement the road within 36 months.
Mohsen Salah, AC’s chairman, said Saturday that Al-Nuwaiseeb road project follows a series of other Kuwaiti mega projects which have been earlier executed by the company.
The Egyptian official further stated that this project aims to develop the northern roads in order to serve the urban expansions in Kuwait.
Al-Nuwaiseeb road project consists of nine multi-lane intersections, a bridge, and rain water diversion system, Salah said, adding that it includes the development of 37 km-long.
The project encompasses the improvement of the southern inter-sections along with three upper bridges and six underground ones with total lengths of 11 km, in addition to two pedestrian bridges.
