The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has opened Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed noted.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 48.11 points, or 0.29 percent, to 16,937 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.23 percent to 851.55 points, while the EGX100 index shed 0.19 percent to 2,185 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index inched down 0.02 percent to 2,911 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 24.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover 87.08 million pounds through 2,120 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with 7.2 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 2.3 million pounds and 4.9 million pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.23 percent to 87.01 pounds, with a turnover of 53,040 pounds.
