The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session near-stable.
By 10:13 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 7.92 points, or 0.05 percent, to 16,075.69 points.
The EGX70 index went up 0.01 percent to 808.87 points, while the EGX100 index slipped 0.27 percent to 2,037 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.3 percent to 2,719 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 10.25 million shares exchanged through 825 transactions at a turnover of 24.9 million pounds.
Arab investors were net sellers with 28.3 million pounds, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with 23.13 million pounds and 5.2 million pounds, respectively.
It has not been traded on the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) yet.
