The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday in green territory on the back of foreign and Egyptian buying.
By 10:23 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index jumped 157.75 points, or 1.04 percent, to 15,394.39 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.17 percent to 739.52 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.22 percent to 1,900 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 1.08 percent to 2,556 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 43.6 million shares exchanged at 74.9 million pounds through 2,270 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with 1.019 million percent, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with 591,200 pounds and 428,400 pounds , respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 1.66 percent to 83.10 pounds .
