Egypt’s stocks concluded higher on Tuesday with gains worth 2.22 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 283.5million) on local investors’ buying appetite .
The market capitalisation has reached 415.221 billion pounds during the closing session of Tuesday.
Indices
Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 edged up by 1.07 percent to 6424.88 points.
The newly-launched EGX50 EWI index increased by 0.98 percent to 1090.75 points.
EGX20 rose by 1.15 percent to 6241.33 points.
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 soared by 1.63 percent to 350.11 points. The price index, EGX100 boosted by 0.82 percent to 741.97 points.
Turnovers up
On Tuesday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 195.282 million securities, with turnovers closed at 842.650 million pounds, exchanged through 13,328 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 164 listed securities have been traded in; 19 declined, 101 advanced; while 38 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Egyptian investors were net buyers capturing 88.64% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 14.340 million, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, Arab and Non-Arab investors were net sellers on Tuesday getting 1.9% and 9.45% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 3.165 million and EGP 11.174 million, respectively, excluding the deals.
